| I got this letter from TV star and cancer survivor Fran Drescher. We all know that there are Toxins in our Personal Care products, but how do we know which ones are Good and which ons are Bad? The EWG is always working to keep us up to date on this information.
The Personal Care products I use are listed very highly on the Good list with the EWG. Glimpse by XanGO LLC are the best I have found. Come join me in the Green, Clean, and Toxin Free Personal Care products use. They also Work. If you want more information Please see my Contact information here on my Blog site. Dear Peggy, After my experience with uterine cancer, I discovered the vast amount of carcinogens that are in products we use in our everyday lives. With EWG’s help, I’ve been able to make better choices. EWG showed me which sunscreens contain chemicals I should avoid. Their Skin Deep database helped me pinpoint the cosmetics and designer perfumes containing hidden toxins. And they taught me about the BPA lurking in metal cans, plastic bottles and even baby formula! But EWG doesn’t stop there.EWG will continue to transform markets by calling out companies who use troubling chemicals and keeping people informed with credible, straightforward information. And we’ve seen the changes already. Immediately after the release of EWG’s fourth annual Sunscreen Guide, which recommended just eight percent of products tested and disclosed the possible hazards of vitamin A on the skin, at least three sunscreen brands were reformulated. If you’re like me, you appreciate all EWG has done to keep you and your family safe and healthy, and you’re counting on them to keep on doing their important research and lobbying. So please donate to EWG today and help them reach their end-of-the-year goal so they’ll have the funding they need to conduct all of their 2011 research. I depend on EWG — as an activist, a cancer survivor and a consumer. Without them, I’d be in the dark about many consumer products that could affect my health and well-being. If you feel like I do, then please make your donation today. Sincerely, YEA7-2 |

Educate yourself
Environmental Working Group: www.ewg.org
Safe Cosmetics Act of 2010: www.opencongress.org/bill/111-h5786/show While cosmetics and other personal-care products are deemed safe, there’s a movement to educate the public about phthalates and other suspected toxins in grooming products and to have them removed from formulations. The problem There are no requirements for the beauty and grooming industry to assess the safety of chemicals used in cosmetics, according to Stacy Malkan, author of “Not Just a Pretty Face: The Ugly Side of the Beauty Industryâ€. “They are really not FDA approved. The system that we have is that the companies get to decide for themselves what’s safe. It’s legal to use nearly any chemical in personal-care products with no required safety assessments,†she says. Phthalates have been found to disrupt the endocrine system, the glands that produce hormones, the Environmental Working Group asserts. For example, formaldehyde, often used as a preservative, is a carcinogen and has been found in baby shampoos and children’s bath products, Malkan says. In 2002, the EWG reported more than 70 percent of the products it examined, which included shampoos, hair gels and perfumes, had phthalates in them. However, phthalates weren’t specifically listed on the labels, as they are considered part of another ingredient, such as “fragrance,†according to Malkan. Talc, the equivalent to a very light form of asbestos, a known health hazard, is used in many makeup lines, says Marilyn Matjya, a licensed esthetician at Dreams MedSpa in Omaha. Sodium lauryl sulfate is a detergent used in many shampoos, facial and body cleansing products and even toothpaste. “Sulfates actually go beyond your skin. They damage your skin while you’re cleansing it,†she says. Malkan writes the average woman uses about a dozen beauty and grooming products per day, exposing herself to about 160 chemicals. The average man uses about six products per day, exposing himself to about 80 chemicals. “There’s a huge lack of knowledge about the health effects of chemicals,†Malkan says. “What we do know is that people are getting exposed to low levels of chemicals that are known to be toxic again and again and again.†Regulation The Safe Cosmetics Act of 2010, introduced last summer in Congress, aims to overhaul cosmetic regulations that have been in place for more than 70 years. The bill proposes giving the U.S. Food and Drug Administration authority to ensure that personal-care products are free of harmful ingredients and require companies to list all chemicals in their products. Protect yourself Read labels and do research. “What you have to do as a consumer is be able to identify where you can pull back on some of those ingredients,†Matjya says. “They’re in everything. It’s kind of a slow process to eliminate all those toxins, but if you’re aware of the components that make up those toxins, then it’s up to you what you want to eliminate.†“Green chemistry is still in its infancy, but ‘cleaner’ products have been around for a while. It’s just that cleaner products that perform like ‘performance’ products haven’t been around for a long time. That’s the trick,†says Misha Hughes, an esthetician and a consultant to XanGo, a Utah-based company that makes health and wellness products with botanical ingredients. |

you more prone to cancer and fragile bones. Now,
researches say people with low blood levels of vitamin
D are more apt to have cardiovascular problems.
In an analysis of more that 15,000 Americans, those
with low blood vitamin D were 30% more likely to have
high blood pressure, 47% more apt to have high
triglycerides, 98% more likely to be a diabetic and
129% more apt to be obese. Researchers note that low
vitamin D also may be a culprit in fibromyalgia,
multiple sclerosis and rheumatoid arthritis.
Where to Get D: Foods high in D are oil fish (like
salmon), egg yolks and liver, Vitamin D supplements

In August of 2010 XanGo and the Meal Pack Program reached a historic milestone with their effort to feed the starving people around the world.
Read the full story about the program below.
LEHI, UT – XanGo, LLC has reached a historic milestone with the donation of its 2 millionth meal, through the XanGo Meal Pack program, to those suffering from malnutrition and related illness. Driven by XanGo’s global distributor network, the Meal Pack program has thrived since its inception nearly three years ago.
“Everyone at XanGo—from the Founders and top executives to our distributors—is passionate about the Meal Pack program and contributing to the fight against world hunger,†said XanGo Founder and Chairman Aaron Garrity. “This program allows us to leverage our global network of socially conscious XanGo distributors to make a direct, positive impact on the welfare of children and families who need it most.â€
Managed through a partnership between XanGo and global health and disaster relief organization AmeriCares, the XanGo Meal Pack program provides meal replacement packages to malnourished and undernourished children and adults from impoverished areas across the globe.
The 2 millionth meal donation from XanGo coincides with recent shipments of XanGo Meal Packs to Malawi and to Cambodia, one of the most impoverished nations in the world with almost 40 percent of children considered chronically malnourished.
Additionally, 80,000 pounds of XanGo Meal Packs were delivered to the rural areas of El Salvador last month. Purchased by individual XanGo distributors around the globe, the Meal Packs are shipped to AmeriCares’ global partners with distribution costs donated through XanGo. The Meal Packs are then used in hospitals, clinics and refugee centers. The XanGo Meal Packs provide nourishment through a high-density oat flour base containing essential fats, minerals and vitamins. Since the program launched in October 2007, meals have also been served in Kenya, Zimbabwe, Ghana, Myanmar and Haiti.
“XanGo Meal Packs are reaching those most in need around the globe,†said Randy Weiss, director of corporate relations at AmeriCares, a nonprofit global health and disaster relief organization. “Our continued partnership with XanGo helps achieve AmeriCares’ goal of people living longer, healthier lives. We look forward to a continued partnership in the battle to help reduce chronic malnutrition and associated illness.â€

This was written a few years ago by my husband for a training meeting. I think it is very good and hope that you enjoy it as it came from the heart.
It really is the way we network isn’t it??
A few years ago there was a young man living in a very small city back east somewhere. He was pretty ordinary, just like the other boys his age. He lived with his Mother, stepfather, and half brothers.
He played with the other kids and went to a Religious School. He wasn’t a very good student and got in trouble for talking back to some of the Priests that were in charge, but everything went along as it should for a boy his age.
His stepfather owned a small woodworking shop that made furniture and done some construction. As soon as the boy was old enough to swing a hammer he went to work in the family business with his stepfather and brothers.
There was always something a little different about him, but he moved along with his life like everyone else in his hometown. Then when he was in his early thirties his real Father came to town and got in touch with him. His Father told him all about the family history and his heritage.
His Father told him “Son I would like for you to go to work for meâ€. The young man asked all the usual questions and about the Comp Plan. His Father explained it to him. He told him that in the beginning things were going to be tough. He said it was a product that flew in the face of all the other products that were out there. The comp plan was going to be the greatest thing anyone had ever seen.
He told him he was going to have to recruit a sales team and train them about the product, but if he could get the job done the Comp Plan would be out of this world for everybody that came on board.
The Son said “Father I have got to think about this for awhileâ€. His Father said “ OK I’ll get back to you in a couple of daysâ€. I do need a decision soon Son, because the whole world really needs this product. Without this product, very soon, everything around here is going to Hell in a hand basket.
The young man thought it over and the more he looked at the Product and Comp Plan the more excited he got. When his Father called him a couple of days later he said “Sign me upâ€. He went to work recruiting and training. He started holding meetings all over the country.
He worked very hard and went through some tough times. Finally he recruited 12 people and they went to work recruiting. The product began to spread all over the world. They did have some setbacks. One of the first 12 turned over the company secretes to the competition and that really hurt them a lot, but the little company survived it. This young man who started the whole thing was murdered by the competition.
This little company survived this also. The product spread to the far corners of the Earth and to this day it is still spreading. The market still has not been saturated in over 2000 years.
If you have not guessed by now this greatest of all networker’s name, it is Jesus.
In my last few posts I have talked a lot about XanGo the company, their growth, tax saving of Network Marketing, and why someone would want to join this company.
This post will be about the product XanGo…mangosteen juice. I know that there are a lot of juices out there, but I want you to know why this one is the best. The following will be about what is in this juice that makes it work. If your product does not work, then you don’t really have a business. Later I will show you some research about the mangosteen and some places you can go to find this information. Hope you enjoy this information
